Our dear Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus Christ for your love, your kindness, your faithfulness. We're so grateful, Lord. We're so, so grateful. Thank you, Father. And today our hearts are open, our minds are open to receive your word. And we receive it with faith and meekness and gladness. In the name of Jesus Christ, thank you righteous Father. Thank you for understanding. In Jesus name, Amen. Today I'm going to be sharing with you a subject that I've titled Kingdom attitude to storms. Kingdom attitude to storms. I want you to know first of all that we live in a world that is full of troubles and challenges of all kinds. And Jesus emphatically made it clear in John 16:33 he says these things have I spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good share, for I have overcome the world. And in First John 5:19, the Bible says, and we know that we are of God and the whole world. Light in wickedness. The whole world lies in wickedness. So, the world is a wicked place. The world is sitting in wickedness. Now I want to show you first of all the character of the troubles of life. The character of the storms of life when they come. And before I do that, I want you to know that the strength of any problem is determined by the mindset of the carrier of the challenge or problem. I said the strength of any problem is determined by the mindset of the one that is carrying it. You see? So back to the character of the troubles of life. Back to the character of the storms of life. Firstly, I want you to see that there is light, meaning solution in every trouble. So understanding is about the character of troubles and challenges. There is always light in every trouble. Solution lies in every problem. But you see, this light must be commanded out. It must be commanded or ordered out. God commanded light out of darkness. That's what the Bible says. In Second Corinthians, chapter 4, verse 6, it says, For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our
hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus. You see. So, this one major character of problems, every problem carrying them their solution. Secondly, problems are for a time. Storms are for a time. In Psalms chapter 30, verse 5, the Bible says, for his hunger endure it, but a moment in his favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in 1 Peter 5:10, the Bible says, but the God of all grace who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that he hath suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you. Did you see that? And In Luke chapter 13, verse 16, the Bible says, and ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound lo all these 18 years, be loosed from a bond on the Sabbath day in order? Jesus is trying to make them know that this thing is not supposed to be forever. This problem is not supposed to be forever. And that's what we see in all the scriptures. I'm reading out to you now. He says, weeping men endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning. So, problems are for a time. They are not forever. Be conscious of this. And number three is that they have intelligence. They can talk. Mark 11:13. Mark 11:13. The Bible says, and seeing a fig tree afar off, having leaves, he came, if aptly he might find anything thereon. And when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto him, no man eat of thee. And year after forever. And his disciples heard it. They heard it. So, Jesus saw the fig tree, and what did he do? He came close to see if he could get something from the tree, but he found nothing. And Jesus answered and said, so you answer to what says something to you? He said, Jesus answered and said, meaning that the fig tree gave an information. So, problems they have intelligence. And
Jesus answered and said unto it, no man eat of thee hereinafter forever. And his disciples heard it. And if you read this story further, you realize that when they were coming back, they realized that the fig tree had died. Why? It responded to the words of Jesus Christ. It responded to the words of Jesus Christ. And if you read verse 23 of the same book of Mark, chapter 11, the Bible says so. Verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, the mountains, they have intelligence. The problems, they have intelligence. The storms, they have intelligence. He says, whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Did you see that? So, they have intelligence problems, have intelligence. They hear you when you talk to them. Storms can hear you when you talk to them. Jesus spoke to the sea, and the sea responded. The sea responded, spoke to the storms, it responded. Hallelujah. Now I want to show you our attitude to storms. As God's children, you must develop this attitude and face the storms of life, the challenges of life, with this
attitude. Number one, look at them from the standpoint of victors, of a victor and not a victim. You see problems and challenges and storms. They are surmountable. So when they show up before you, look at them from the standpoint of a victor and not from the standpoint of a victim. In Numbers, chapter 13, reading from verse 31 to 35 to 33, you see how that the spies went to spy the land of Canaan. And when they got there, they saw things that they didn't want, and they brought the facts back home. But God called it an evil report. They said the land flowed with milk and honey. The land, its inhabitants were like grasshoppers before them, and so on and so forth. But in chapter 14, when Joshua and Caleb went, it was a different story. They saw the same thing, but their responses were different. They looked at things from the standpoint of victory, and they said something remarkable, that these things are there, and they are bread for us. They say they are bread for us. Hallelujah. What a mindset. What a mindset. What a mindset. In James, chapter one, verse two, the Bible says, my brethren, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptation, knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have unperfect work, that he may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Hallelujah. Wanting nothing. So the Bible says, count it all joy when you fall into diverse tests. Count it all joy. Don't go moody. Look at things from the standpoint of victory and from the standpoint of a victor. All right. And another attitude you must develop as you stand against the storms of life is this. You must learn to prophesy to them, prophesy to them. Prophesy to them. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Remember in Mark 11:23, and whosoever shall say unto this mountain, whosoever shall prophesy, proclaim, announce to this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea. And shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. And so that's what to do. Prophesy to the problems, prophesy to the storms. Jesus spoke to the storms, and they responded. They responded. Number three, never strengthen them. Never strengthen the problems by murmuring and complaining. When you murmur and complain, you strengthen that storm. That's what you do. You strengthen that storm. In First Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 10, the Bible says, neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured were destroyed by the destroyer. God doesn't like murmurings. Verse 11 says, now all these things happen unto them for examples. And they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of this world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh is standard, take it, lest he fall. And verse 13 says, There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man. But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation, also make a way of escape that he may bear, or that he may be able to bear it. So God will not allow what is bigger than you to get to you. And if it has to do that, it will create a way of escape. So, stop murmuring. Stop the murmurings and complaining's. All right. So, another attitude you must develop, or use in facing challenges and the storms of life, is that you must see them as for the right time. See them as for the night. Rather, see them as for the night. These problems, you must see them as for the night. See them as for the night. See them as for a time. That's what you must do. They all have expiry date. Hallelujah. They all have expiry date. Problems are not forever. They are not forever. They have expiry dates, and you must expect them to come to an end. Yes, yes. And again, number five. Never run from them. Don't run from them. Don't run from them. Don't run from them. Hallelujah. In 1 Samuel, chapter 17, verse 45, then David said to the Philistines, thou comets to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts and the God of the armies of Israel. Who whom thou defilest this day, will the Lord deliver thee into my hand. And I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee, and I will give thee carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto thee, or unto the fowls of the air, unto the wild beasts of the earth, and that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spears, for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands. And it came to pass when the Philistines arose and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted and ran towards the enemy to meet the Philistines. So, when Goliath came in anger to want to come and swallow David. He wanted to come and take on David. Rather David. Rather than David running away, the Bible says David ran towards him. Don't run from problems, do not run from them. Yes, this is a very important attitude. And number six, be fearless. When challenges show up, be fearless. Sometimes they want to intimidate you. Be fearless. Are you with me? Be fearless. Second Samuel. Sorry. Second Timothy, chapter one, verse seven. For God had not given us a spirit of fear, but a power of love and of a sound mind. In First John, chapter 4, verse 18 says, there is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath torment. And he that feareth is not made perfect in love. Hallelujah. And In Hebrews, chapter 13, verse 6, the Bible says, so that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do unto me. And in chapter two, verse 14, the Bible says, for as much Dane as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and delivered them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Yes. Thank you, Jesus. So, fear keeps you in bondage. Refuse to fear. Fear ties you down. Fear brings you down before trouble. Are you seeing this? So, you must have this attitude of fearlessness. Thank you, Jesus. In Romans 8:15. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the spirit of the adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And number seven. Pray, pray, pray. James 5, James, chapter 5, verse 13. The Bible says any among you afflicted, let him pray. Is any merry, let him sing psalms. And verse 14. Is any sick among you, let him call for the elders of the church. Hallelujah. The Bible says, any among you afflicted, let him pray. So you pray. When you're faced with the challenge, you pray. You pray. Hallelujah. Colossians 4:17, he says, and say to archipelags, take heed to the ministry which thou have received of the Lord, that thou fulfill it. Hallelujah. In First Corinthians 4,1, let a man sow account of us as of ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. A man be found faithful. We have received the ministry from God, and that ministry has to do with praying as a priestly ministry of the believer. All right, you pray. You pray. But in this case, we're talking about confronting challenges or an attitude that you must put up. When the storms of life come against you, you have to pray. Don't run. You pray. Thank you, Jesus. The grace of God is working in your life. The grace of God is walking in your life. No challenge of life shall be able to swallow you. The peace of God takes over your life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You have become fearless in your life. You will not be defeated in the name of Jesus Christ by the challenges of life. You will not be defeated in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. God's grace will always speak for you. God bless you and keep you. In Jesus name, Amen.
